2021 Costa Rica Mission Trip
“It is really amazing how a variety of people with different skill sets and of various ages can come together and accomplish so much good in such a short span of time,” said Nadene Smith, Executive Director of Directors Foundation. And what good was accomplished? Two families living in Liberia, Costa Rica, received homes – homes beyond their wildest dreams!
Three organizations joined together to make the trip amazing:
- Directors Foundation provided the money and volunteers.
- Youth With a Mission (YWAM) chose the families and led the build, securing the necessary expertise and tools.
- Vital Seeds Ministry provided leadership oversight for the entire project.
It was an incredible experience for everyone. Andrea Roberts, a three-time mission trip attendee, said, “It’s like the first time every time I go! I come home blown away by the people I meet and the experiences. I have built life-long relationships while serving. I love being a part of the hands and feet of Jesus!”
For first-time mission trip participants Alyssa and Sergio Chacon, it was also a life-changing experience. “As this was our first mission trip, it was amazing to see how relationships were built in such a short period of time –relationships between co-workers and relationships between strangers who left as friends. We were deeply impacted by the amount of love that was around and were forever changed by this opportunity to serve!”
